How it works

VaultIMG keeps your files private by processing everything locally in your browser: here's exactly how.

01

You open VaultIMG in your browser

No installation is needed. Your browser loads the VaultIMG application and its assets from our hosting infrastructure before supported image processing runs locally.

02

You select or drop your image files

Files are read from your device into browser memory using the File API. VaultIMG does not send them to a Mesanix Labs service for processing.

03

VaultIMG processes them locally

Supported image operations run inside your browser tab using JavaScript and browser imaging APIs. Work is limited by the capabilities and available memory of your device.

04

You download the result

The processed file is generated in browser memory and offered as a download. Reloading or closing the page ends the working session; downloaded files remain on your device.

File size limit

No fixed cap

VaultIMG does not impose an upload-size cap because images are not uploaded. Capacity depends on the selected tool, the image, the browser, and available device memory. Very large images can take longer or may exceed what the device can process.

Common questions

Does VaultIMG work offline?

Do not rely on offline use. VaultIMG needs a connection to load the application and may need additional tool assets. Supported image processing stays in the browser once the required code is available.

Are my files stored in the cloud?

No. VaultIMG does not provide cloud image storage. Selected files are held in browser memory for the working session and are not sent to a Mesanix Labs image-processing service.

Is there a file size limit?

VaultIMG does not impose an upload-size cap because images are not uploaded. Practical limits depend on the image, tool, browser, and available device memory, so very large files may fail to process.
