Redaction, blur, mosaic, tint, and image layers can be combined before downloading a single finished image.

What you can do

  • Adjust blur or mosaic intensity and image or tint opacity.
  • Flatten covered source pixels into the download when using a redaction layer.

Before you start

  • Flattened layers are no longer separately editable after download.
  • Regional blur and mosaic support source images up to 24 megapixels to keep memory use predictable.
  • Image overlays accept static JPG, PNG, and WebP files. Animated overlay layers are not supported.
  • GIF output keeps animation but previews the edited first frame. SVG keeps vector structure except for mosaic pixels; SVG redaction exports flattened PNG for safety.
  • For secure redaction, cover sensitive content with a small margin. PNG keeps exact black pixels; lossy JPG and WebP can soften the boundary.

How it works

  3. Download the layered result as SVG, or flattened PNG when it includes redaction.

Common questions

Is a redaction overlay safe for sensitive data?

Redaction layers are flattened into the download, so covered source pixels are not retained underneath. Add a small margin around sensitive content; use PNG when you need exact black boundary pixels because lossy JPG and WebP encoding can soften edges.

Can I overlay another image?

Yes. You can place a static JPG, PNG, or WebP image on top, then move it, resize it, and adjust its opacity.

Will the SVG remain vector?

Tint, image, and blur layers remain structured SVG content, while mosaic embeds only the affected pixel region. Redaction exports PNG so covered source artwork is removed rather than left recoverable inside the vector file.
