Before you start

  • The tool supports fixed quarter-turn rotations rather than arbitrary angles.
  • Large images require enough browser memory for the working canvas.
  • Animated GIF processing requires a modern browser with module workers and OffscreenCanvas.
  • WebP output depends on browser encoding support; an unavailable WebP encoder falls back to PNG with a clear notice.

Common questions

Does rotating an image upload it?

No. Rotation runs locally in your browser and the finished image downloads straight to your device.

Which rotation angles are supported?

You can rotate left 90 degrees, right 90 degrees, or a full 180 degrees, and reset at any time.

Does the rotated image keep its format?

Yes for JPG, PNG, SVG, GIF, and supported WebP output. If a browser cannot encode WebP, VaultIMG clearly returns PNG instead.
